A May scene from the legendary Ramallah, Palestine!
Ramallah: The de facto administrative capital of Palestine
I got the fortune to enter Palestine recently! It felt like home! I am excited to share the pics which I captured there. The first thing you notice while entering any Palestinian region is that most of the toilets will have a bidet system like in Gulf/India/Egypt(these days things are changing and we are mimicking west) etc. It’s like your typical brown land, unlike the white world.
JERUSALEM IS THE CAPITAL OF PALESTINE by the way! (Not Ramallah)
Ramallah: Historically a Christian city
This means you get alcohol, even pork meat, etc in the city. And lot of Christian buildings/churches/schools too.
Ramallah, this May (Nakba 75 and Shireen Abu Akleh)
It was the first anniversary of Shireen’s murder at the hand of Israeli security forces. And it was also 75th anniversary of Nakba, the catastrophe. #nakba #nakba75

Final Thoughts
Ramallah felt home for me! Because I think from the perspective of the underprivileged. White hegemony has to stop! Hopefully all the powers sit together and solve the issue. This is not a Islam-Jewish or terrorist-legitimate_state “conflict”!
Thank you!
I lived in Beersheva as a foreign postdoctoral researcher. I have mostly seen only hate among common people. Whether it be Israelis, Palestinians, and Indian community there. Whatever be the hate and political incorrectness happening there these days, the Palestinian cause, Nakba, and all their tragedies are real. White hegemony has to stop. I have written about in facebook a lot. Will again keep on talking. :) #from_river_to_sea_is_palestine
This is a blogging project I am going to undertake. I have not mentioned it before. But I will be writing about my travels in the region, Palestine, Israel , hypocrisies from both sides, power/privilege-asymmetry between the two, corruption, history, visual data analysis, etc(but gradually). About the region and issues. Thank you.
